Develop the fundamental skills to move your career forward

Career Vision & Career Counseling

Starting with a self-assessment, we will support you in identifying and reflecting on your values, purpose and goals. You will create a career vision that will allow you to define the basis for a meaningful professional progression.
Whatever your career choice, we will partner with you to define the right strategy to achieve your objectives and drive your successful lifelong career management.

Career Workshops

From negotiation to personal branding, networking, cover letter writing, building your CV, mock interviews with professionals and beyond, career workshops contribute to the development of essential skills to maximize your career opportunities.

Meet the Industry

We organize talks with C-level executives and senior managers to broaden your knowledge of the corporate world. You will have the opportunity to get in-depth understanding of industry insights and trends, and get inspired by their career journey, their vision and experience, while expanding your network.

Mentoring

A unique guidance from alumni in senior management positions that will help you gain valuable advice into what it takes to get ahead. They will act as a “sounding board” for your ideas, supporting you in identifying the skills and expertise you need to move your career forward and expand your personal and professional network.

Personal Pitch

You will learn how to develop the perfect personal elevator pitch to help promote your accomplishments and bolster your career, through a compelling introduction of yourself in front of a jury composed of corporate and job search executives, in a unique competition.

Talent Promotion

The Career Management Center (CMC) actively engages with companies to understand their business and talent acquisition needs, promoting the Lisbon MBA talent through face-to-face visits and invitations to present on campus. Students are invited to submit their personal resumés for the Lisbon MBA Talent Book that is shared with companies and the alumni community.

The action learning approach is a cornerstone of the Lisbon MBA.

With its symbiotic relationship between thinking and doing, theory and practice, the Lisbon MBA integrates hands-on learning opportunities throughout the curriculum. The International MBA includes a period of action learning in its program, from in-company assignments to international consulting labs or entrepreneurship hubs, which will allow you to apply all your MBA learnings in practice. The Career Management Center will support you throughout the process

Executive MBA Career Management Center FAQ

The CMC Services Include: Career Counseling, Career Skills Workshops and Webinars, Talks with C-level Executives and Talent Promotion through the publishing and distribution of your class Talent Book.

The Lisbon MBA does not provide placement service. However, the Career Management Center offers EMBA students support, through career counseling, to clarify and define their career strategy for a meaningful career journey.

During the 1st year students are focused on developing their transversal business skills and it is in 2nd year that they are more prepared to define what are their career goals, thus benefitting from CMC counseling and services.

Students who are sponsored by their companies to do the MBA can only participate in certain CMC activities, such as talks with C-level executives and career workshops and webinars. If you would like to have full access to CMC services, you will need to provide us with an authorization letter from your company. The CMC will be able to provide a template letter to this effect.

CMC will support you with career counseling to build your career strategy and you will have access to the platform MBA Exchange for job postings.

Companies recruiting at an executive level look for a specific profile in terms of professional experience, personality and cultural fit. Usually, only a short candidate list responds to all the criteria. CMC provides the annual EMBA Talent Book to companies which in return can make specific candidate requests directly to candidates.

Although companies may be active in searching for EMBA students, their approach is more on a one-to-one basis, making specific requests to the Career Management Center or through the Talent Book.
