Completing the Lisbon MBA International application will require time and effort on your part. Plan ahead to make sure your application is complete by the deadline. We strongly recommend applicants who need a visa to study in Portugal to apply during the 1st round of applications. The closest Portugal Embassy or Consulate can provide you with information regarding student visa requirements.

The official transcripts from the academic institution where you received your bachelor’s degree must be uploaded in the online application form. They should mention the degree awarded, the average score, and the course conclusion date and be duly signed and stamped. If the transcripts are not in English, they must be accompanied by an official translation completed by a certified translator.
Whatever CV template you use, please ensure you share a version in English that is no more than two pages long.

Choosing the Right Test
We recommend that you review the details of each exam and select the one that best aligns with your profile and strengths. Please note the following recommended scores for each test: GMAT: 580 / GRE: 312
Preparation and Booking
You can purchase official study materials and book your exam through the official website for each test. While the typical preparation time is around three months, this can vary depending on your personal workload and study plan. We recommend that you review the details of each exam and select the one that best aligns with your profile and strengths.
Automatically Submitting Your Test Scores
If you wish us to automatically receive your test score, please select the “Lisbon MBA International Program” from Católica-Lisbon or Nova SBE when scheduling your test. (Note: You must choose one of the schools, even though this is a joint program.)
Admissions Exam Waiver Eligibility
Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar from a reputable university, along with over 8 years of professional experience (including at least 4 years in a management role), may be eligible for an Admissions Exam Waiver. To apply for a waiver, you must have a Submitted Application. For more information, contact the Admissions Team. Make sure to have the following documents prepared:

– Diploma (translated into English)
Candidates for whom English is not their native language must submit a standardized English Language Test score. Here is a list of the tests we accept:
If you wish us to automatically receive your test score, please choose The Lisbon MBA International program from CATÓLICA-LISBON or Nova SBE on the day of the test (you are required to choose one of the schools, even though this is a joint program). If you’re taking the TOEFL and you are requested a code to send us the score, please take note: 7258.
Automatic Waivers:
• be a national of an English-speaking country (US, CA, UK, NZ, etc);
• present a full university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) during which all courses were taught exclusively in English;
• worked full-time in an English-speaking country for more than 1 year.
To apply for a waiver, you must have a Submitted Application. Please note that your English communication skills will be assessed during the interview and throughout the entire admission process. We reserve the right to request an English test to be taken at any time.
Written Essays
You will be required to write 2 essays (maximum 500 words). These essays should be rich in detail, well-structured, and provide practical, real-life examples to effectively illustrate your points.
Video Essay
You will also have to upload a 1.30 min video to introduce yourself. This video is your opportunity to showcase who you are as an individual and highlight the unique skills, experiences, and key qualities you can bring to the upcoming class. Upload the video to your YouTube or Vimeo account and publish it as either unlisted or public to ensure accessibility. The recording can be made using a mobile or PC camera, provided it is of good quality. Paste the link in the application.
Candidates must provide contact information of two different people who know them well in a professional context, preferably line managers, customers and/or suppliers (avoid asking family members or friends). The reference request process is done through the online application form. After filling in the referees’ data, applicants need to click on the “send reference request” button and the referees will receive an e-mail with a link to a brief survey. After this, please double check with each referee that they received the email as sometimes they go straight to spam folders.
Be aware that you won’t be able to submit your application without the referees’ answers. Please do not submit letters of recommendation separately, as they will not be considered.
Submitting your application requires a fee. Once it is completed, a PayPal payment button will appear, and you will have the option to pay securely via PayPal or credit card.

Tuition fees for the Lisbon MBA International 2026: 39,500€
Included: all educational materials and resources, parking at Nova SBE and CATÓLICA-LISBON Campuses.
Not included: flights and shared accommodation during the 1-month MIT Immersion in Boston.
After completing the MBA, our students can obtain the Master’s joint degree by elaborating and defending a project thesis under the guidance of one Professor. The Master thesis has an additional cost of €4,000.
