1 | What made you decide to take an MBA?

I decided to pursue an MBA for various reasons, including career advancement, development of business and leadership skills, expansion of my professional network, gaining a broader understanding of business concepts and practices, pursuing entrepreneurial aspirations, and personal and professional development.”

The collaboration among The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova and the MIT Sloan School of Management provides a unique opportunity to live and breathe the “Disciplined Entrepreneurship” course from Prof. Bill Aulet and Prof. Paul Cheek. The collaboration between the three top business schools, CATÓLICA-LISBON, Nova SBE, and MIT Sloan, provides students access to a wider network of resources, exposure to different perspectives and approaches, and opportunities to build strengthened relationships with top-notch faculty.

The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova is an excellent choice for anyone looking to advance their career and develop their leadership skills in a dynamic, innovative environment, thanks to its emphasis on entrepreneurship and commitment to student success.

5 | You have recently been knighted by the Ordem Militar de Avis. Could you explain to us what this medal means to you?

The Military Portuguese Medal of Avis Order is considered one of the highest honours that can be bestowed upon officers of the Portuguese Armed Forces, for distinguished service, exceptional bravery, and significant contributions to Portugal’s defence. Receiving the Military Portuguese Medal of Avis is one of my proudest moments.

6 | In September, you will leave the Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova with 2 new titles. What changed in you during these months of learning?

“No change, I’m still the same old me, but I’d like to point out that I’m a part of two incredible classes: my initial Executive MBA 2020-2022 class and the current Executive MBA 2021-2023 class, which I had to defer for professional reasons, making me one of them from the start on a fast-moving train. Thus, aside from all the acquired knowledge and enlightenment (I discovered a hidden passion for Corporate Finance), I would say I am most grateful for the PEOPLE, from faculty to students in both classes, not to mention the academic services personnel. Finally, I would emphasize the importance of friends (both old and new), but especially families who go above and beyond to support us in this endeavour. None of this would be possible without them. Thank you very much!”
