Now in its 3rd edition, the Bolsa Luís Patrão continues to expand its impact by supporting talented young professionals pursuing advanced higher education in Portugal. Among the eligible academic pathways, candidates admitted to The Lisbon MBA International 2027 or The Lisbon MBA Executive 2026-28 may apply for this prestigious scholarship opportunity as part of their MBA journey.

Scholarship Overview

  • Application Deadline: June 12, 2026
  • Scholarship Category Eligible for MBA Candidates: Tipologia A
  • Eligible Programs at The Lisbon MBA:
    • The Lisbon MBA International
    • The Lisbon MBA Executive
  • Full Scholarship Value: up to €50,000 per student
  • Number of Scholarships Available: 10

 

Eligibility Criteria – Applicants must:

  • Be aged 35 or younger by December 31, 2026
  • Have effective residence in Portugal
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a final average grade of 14/20 or above
  • Be admitted or enrolled in The Lisbon MBA International or The Lisbon MBA Executive
  • Fulfill all conditions established in the official scholarship regulations

 

Required Documents – Applicants must submit the following documentation:

  • Copy of Citizen Card, EU Residence Card, or Residence Permit
  • Proof of regularized Social Security status
  • Proof of regularized Tax Authority status
  • Proof of residence in Portugal
    Updated Curriculum Vitae
  • Academic qualification certificate with final average grade clearly stated
  • Certificates of complementary professional training, including number of hours completed
  • Up to two letters of recommendation
  • Study plan for the intended program
  • Proof of application or admission to the educational institution and study plan
  • Document detailing the total cost of the study plan, including tuition and administrative fees
  • Motivation letter demonstrating alignment with the program’s objectives
  • Declaration confirming the applicant does not benefit from other public financial support for the same study plan

 

How to Apply for the Luís Patrão Scholarship – Step by Step:

1 – Check the eligibility criteria:
Ensure you meet the Bolsa Luís Patrão requirements, including age, residency, academic background, and admission to an eligible program.

2 – Apply to The Lisbon MBA (International or Executive MBA):
Start or Continue your Application here. Make sure to gather all required documents and complete each section carefully. Admission to one of these programs is a prerequisite for applying to the Luís Patrão Scholarship.

3 – Submit your MBA application and await the admission decision:
Complete your MBA application and go through the evaluation process. You’ll receive your official admission letter from The Lisbon MBA if successful.

4 – Apply for the Luís Patrão Scholarship:

5 – Wait for the evaluation results:
Your application will be reviewed by an independent panel organized by Turismo de Portugal, based on academic merit, professional experience, leadership potential, and contribution to tourism innovation.

If selected, you will receive a full scholarship and officially begin your MBA studies at The Lisbon MBA — empowered to make a meaningful impact in your career and the future of tourism.

 

⚠️ To be eligible for the Bolsa Luís Patrão 2026, applicants must complete and submit both:

  • An application to The Lisbon MBA International 2027 or The Lisbon MBA Executive 2026-28
  • A scholarship application through the Bolsa Luís Patrão platform
