Alumni from The Lisbon MBA wins Web Summit Startups PITCH Contest

Henrique Prado Ferreira, an alumnus of The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova, emerged as the winner of the PITCH at Web Summit 2023, competing against more than 2,608 startups with his company Inspira, of which he is a co-founder.
The opportunity to participate in this Web Summit competition arose through The Lisbon MBA Startup Contest organized by the Alumni Club of The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova. This contest, similar to the MBA programs, focuses on fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovation.
Henrique Prado Ferreira, a student of the International MBA 2021, won The Lisbon MBA Startup Contest 2023, earning him a spot in the Web Summit’s Alpha Start-up program and ultimately leading him to victory in the PITCH competition. The company Inspira is a software startup with the goal of improving the legal market through the use of technology, democratizing legal information to make it more accessible to everyone.
Henrique Prado Ferreira, co-founder and CXO, stated, “The Lisbon MBA has been instrumental in validating Inspira. The MIT Immersion and the Entrepreneurship Hub unquestionably contributed significantly to preparing me for the next steps. Additionally, The Lisbon MBA Alumni Club contest was crucial for us to be at the Web Summit. Many doors opened for us, from new contacts to potential partnerships of great relevance. The experience at Web Summit in Lisbon was unforgettable. Being among many relevant startups and standing out is indescribable, not to mention representing Brazil. I hope this exposure can inspire the next impact-driven entrepreneurs.”
Maria José Amich, Executive Director of The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova, mentioned, “At The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova, we focus our MBA programs on empowering our students to develop their innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, critical thinking, and the ability to solve complex problems. To achieve this, we offer numerous opportunities for students to implement business projects and participate in acceleration programs. The Lisbon MBA Entrepreneurship Hub and the Alumni Startup Contest allow students to develop and present their business ideas to a group of investors and leaders. We couldn’t be prouder that our alumnus is the winner of this year’s Web Summit PITCH competition.”
Ricardo Gonçalves, President of The Lisbon MBA Alumni Club, also highlighted, “It has been amazing to witness the success of Inspira, a startup co-founded by our alumnus, Henrique Prado Ferreira. Winning The Lisbon MBA Alumni Club’s Startup Contest was just the beginning, and now, winning one of the biggest startup competitions at Web Summit serves as an incredible source of inspiration for the entire community. As a representative of The Lisbon MBA Alumni Club, I am genuinely inspired by stories like Henrique’s. This reinforces the belief that The Lisbon MBA not only educates but also empowers individuals to make a real impact. Let’s continue to Unite, Connect, Share, and Develop The Lisbon MBA Alumni Community!”
