“Construction and Real Estate: impacts of the pandemic and future perspectives”

Bruno de Carvalho Matos, alumnus of The Lisbon MBA and Civil Engineer at Engexpor, wrote an article for Jornal Económico, where he shares his opinion on the mitigation actions that should be taken in the coming years in the Construction and Real Estate sector. He believes that these actions should mainly be of a political and economic nature, starting with public investment as a means to stimulate the economy and, subsequently, to encourage the development of the private sector.

“The outlook for the future of construction and real estate is optimistic, with an expected U-shaped recovery, mainly through public works and residential building projects, the development of which will be stimulated through the provision of European funds and support measures for companies.”
