The MBAs are still the most wanted education programs by executives. The impact on career progress helps explaining why.
There are no solid numbers that allow evaluating the real impact of this type of training in career progress in Portugal, but there are several international studies about the topic.
This evaluation is also made by the Financial Times, with their annual publication of their best MBA, in which Portugal is present through the Lisbon MBA, a result of a joint-venture between Católica Lisbon Business & Economics and Nova SBE. The numbers show that who takes this kind of programs can benefit from a salary increase between 57% and 195%, according to the program and until 3 years since the course. In The Lisbon MBA case, the average increase is of 73%.
