MBA students go on a field trip to Volkswagen Autoeuropa
Our International full-time MBA students were invited to visit Volkswagen Autoeuropa, last Thursday, October 24th.
The 2-hour tour gave our students an overview of the automotive assembly plant, located in the city of Palmela, near Lisbon, formed in 1991 and operational since 1995.
Autoeuropa is the largest Foreign Direct Investment in Portugal and currently responsible for producing models such as Volkswagen T-Roc, Sharan, and SEAT Alhambra. It has achieved the maximum capacity of production of 890 cars per day.
Over the years, the plant has consistently reduced its environmental impact. To achieve its goals, several measures are being evaluated and implemented. This plant is also characterized by having a constant high level of environmental awareness.
It was a day that our students will hardly forget, as they were accompanied by the CEO Miguel Sanches through the day and got to learn everything about the company’s operation site, having the chance to observe all the different steps of the assembly line.
