The Lisbon MBA alumni presents start-up at Web Summit

Alle Wine was the only Portuguese company from the wine sector to be present at Web Summit. The company is developing a mobile application to answer the “ever-growing search” of Wine tourism, easing the access to information and reservations.

António Pé-Curto, founder and CEO of Alle Wine and The Lisbon MBA alumni, explained to Lusa that the idea to develop this app, that will “work essentially as a content aggregator and that will suggest personalized content”, came when he realized that whoever has interest in making this kind of tourism in Portugal, has no idea how to do it.

This app will allow people who haven’t previously planned their trip to arrive to Portugal and “discover, choose, schedule,  and arrive to the wine houses and wine producers in a quick, comfortable and effective way, allowing the user, at the same time, to make the trip reservation, accommodation and choose the best places for tasting within the chosen location.”

For that to happen, the partners’ choice is made in a meticulous way, to guarantee that “whoever is on the other side is available to receive people every day and will treat them like they expect to be treated.”

In this initial phase, the company has a series of partners, especially in the Lisbon area, and will start making pilot-projects in the Douro and Alentejo regions.

The app is free and it is still in the final stage of development, foreseen to be ready to launch around next year’s February.

The next step, according to António Pé-Curto, is to “find partners to quickly internationalize the concept”, giving initial priority to locations like Brazil, Spain, France, Italy and, then, Central Europe.

The international presentation of Alle Wine happened last Tuesday, at Web Summit, and it was also one of the invited companies to come up to the stage on the technological summit inauguration session.
