Partnership with EGADE to promote Mexico Labs

The Lisbon MBA launches consultancy project with Mexico companies

The Lisbon MBA just signed a partnership with EGADE Business School to launch consultancy projects for companies operating in Mexico or interested in entering this market – the Mexico International Labs. According to this partnership, a team of both students and professors at The Lisbon MBA and EGADE will work together in both countries on two-month projects, in order to solve a real business case.

The Mexico International Labs will allow The Lisbon MBA International students, starting in 2015, to have a real international work experience, in which they will need to work with a team of Mexican students. Multicultural teams will work on these two-month consultancy projects, so they will later present the case to the companies. After the analysis of the business problems, what follows is a preparation phase in Mexico, after which the teams have to work long-distance in data research, analysis and proposal development.

Anabela Possidónio, Executive Director at The Lisbon MBA, commented: “We believe that this partnership will help students learn Mexico’s commercial and cultural dynamics through direct experience, simultaneously developing their team-work competencies and helping them learn how to deal with different cultures and how to solve problems. On the other hand, it’s also a way to reaffirm our relation with other universities and companies, offering an added-value proposal for companies interested on this high-growth market.”

The Lisbon MBA International is a joint-venture between Nova SBE, Católica-Lisbon and MIT SLoan and is fully lectured in English. This program includes a one-month immersion at the MIT campus, in Boston, and the possibility to do an internship at an international company, to integrate an International Lab or to participate at the Entrepreneurship Hub in a partnership with Startup Lisboa. This program has been acknowledged for its support to entrepreneurship, its holistic approach and the innovative development of soft skills.
